I know that this recipe isn’t rocket science, but as my family and I try to eat a little healthier we are looking for ways to change up our Taco Tuesday every once in a while.

 

An easy way to do this is to replace your tortilla with a lettuce wrap for a low-carb version.

Obviously you can use any kind of meat here but I love taco seasoned beef because you really don’t feel like you’re missing out on anything.

Butter lettuce with vary in size but I had some pretty big leaves for my taco lettuce wraps.

Diced avocado to top.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 (1 ounce) package Old El Paso Taco Seasoning mix
  • 2/3 cup water
  • Butter lettuce leaves

Toppings:

    • shredded cheddar cheese, tomato, onion, avocado, and sour cream

    Instructions
     

    • In a large skillet, brown beef until no longer pink. Drain. Add the taco seasoning and water. Cook until liquid is absorbed.
    • Spoon the meat into lettuce leaves and top with desired toppings. Fold up and eat.
