Rolo Pretzel Bites

My friend Lindsay gave these to me and although I have seen them before I underestimated their yumminess. The buttery, salty pretzel with the chewy sweet caramel is divine. I loved them so much that I made them with my boys today. I let them put M&Ms on top but for adults a salty pecan makes these taste just like a turtle. This is a fun activity to do with your kids and takes less than 5 minutes. I had to give them to my neighbors immediately so I didn’t eat them all.

Rolo Pretzel Bites

Ingredients

  • Bag of mini pretzels (if you are lucky you can find the mini star pretzels)
  • Bag of Rolos, unwrapped
  • Halved Pecans
  • M&Ms, Hersheys kissables, (optional for kids)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place pretzels on an ungreased cookie sheet. Place unwrapped Rolos on top of pretzels and bake for 3 minutes. You don't want them too melted. Remove from oven and push pecan half (or candy) halfway down into the melted Rolo.

  1. whenever I make these I can’t stop myself from eating every last one!!

  2. My friends and I refer to these as “Rolo Crack.” Every time I make a batch “for gifts” I end up having to make two because I eat nearly all of the first one myself. This stuff is dangerous b/c it’s so easy to make and so addictive! Love your picture.

  3. These are my favorite! I always eat way too many of them! I think I’m going to make them today. Thanks for this post!

  4. Rolo Crack…very fitting!

  5. This is idiot easy! I love it! I also made mini turtles. One pecan with a Rolo ontop!

  6. I made these & they were a big hit! I put a cashew on top instead of a pecan or m&m. They were so yummy! I have made them 3 times in 3 days now! lol

  7. This is what I have been doing with my pretzels for the past year! So delicious.

  8. what a wonderful idea, add some sweet accompaniment like this, you can use also chocolate or strawberry jam, the accompaniment is the less important issue, just try it anything and enjoy preparing this.

  9. omgoodness! I pinned this a while ago on Pinterest and decided to make it today using mini Snickers instead of Rolos… LORDY! They are delicious!

  10. I LOVE these yummy little goodies. One of my students made them for me last year and unfortunately my dog decided she liked them as well (amzingly she did not get sick). I can’t wait tom make them for my family.

  11. I make these every year…can I also suggest also using mini reeses cups? Especially now that you can find them unwrapped in a bag-much easier!

  12. Quick question, what packaging would you gift these treats in?

  13. @Hanna Lee,
My friend gave me some in a cute little Christmas tin filled with some tissue paper.
