Pizza Monkey Bread
Pizza Monkey Bread is an Italian appetizer stuffed with pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, and garlic all in a Bundt pan. If you love pizza, you’ll love this Pizza Monkey Bread made with biscuits and marinara sauce for dipping.
PIZZA MONKEY BREAD
The Super Bowl is Sunday!!! I feel like I want to say Super Bowl over and over because brands and companies aren’t allowed to use the word “Super Bowl” because of copyright laws.
Instead they have to say “The Big Game” whenever referring to the Super Bowl.
But since I have my own blog here I’m allowed to say it all I want. And start sentences with “And” and “But” which is horrible grammar. So Super Bowl, Super Bowl, Super Bowl. Take that.
PULL APART PIZZA BREAD
We like to do our own version of Prop Bets for the Super Bowl. Will Donald Trump come? What song with Justin Timberlake sing first?
Will Pink’s hair be pink or some other color when she sings the national anthem?
As far as food, these are what I will probably end up making: Buffalo Chicken Macaroni and Cheese, BLT Dip, Jalapeno Popper Pigs in a Blanket, Jalapeno Popper Dip, and the Best Bean Dip. Or some version of that.
Per my husband’s request, something pizza flavored. Pizza rolls, stuffed pizza rolls, or this pull apart Pizza Monkey Bread. What are you guys making??
HOW TO MAKE PIZZA BREAD
You can make your pizza dough from scratch but I like the way that biscuits puff up and saves me a lot of time.
WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE A BUNDT PAN?
You can make this Pizza Monkey Bread in a 9×13 dish. You may have to adjust your baking time to less time but you can totally do it.
CAN I PREPARE THIS MONKEY BREAD AHEAD OF TIME?
You can bake it ahead of time and reheat. I wouldn’t prepare the raw biscuits with the mixture and let it sit in the fridge overnight because the biscuits start to get a weird texture.

- `1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded or grated

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasonings
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic, (or 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder)
- marinara for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, add all the ingredients (except marinara) and toss well until combined.
- Pour mixture into a greased 10-inch Bundt pan (you can also use a 9x13 baking dish). Bake for 35-45 minutes or until rolls are cooked on the inside; cover with foil after 20 minutes or until top is browned. Check every 5 minutes towards end of cooking to see if done.
- Remove from oven and loosen edges of bread with a knife. Invert Bundt pan on a plate and then invert onto a serving plate so that the pretty side is up. Pull apart and dip in warm marinara.
Have you ever layered in some marinara in between the biscuits before cooking?
I found it to be soggy when I did that
We don’t have Pillsbury dough in Australia (which kills me cause there’s so many awesome recipes online using the biscuit and crescent dough). What would you suggest in place of that please?
Any type of refrigerated biscuits in a roll/can.
Pizza dough!
Do you cover with foil 20 minutes into the 35-45 minutes? Or after that time is up?
Basically cover when the top gets too brown so after 20 minutes
Can this be made a day b4 and cooked when ready?
Yes!
Pizza money rolls I simply got to make they V look and V sound delicious
I made this not to long ago, it was delicious. My only problem was it stuck to the bottom of my bundt pan. I sprayed my pan 1st. Any suggestions?
Paint your Bundt pan with “cake dressing.” Mix 1/2 cup self-rising flour, 1/2 cup Crisco, and1/2 cup Canola Oil. Mix with mixer until we’ll combined. Store in a jar in the refrigerator. Use a brush to cover the whole pan. (This recipe lasts for months or until used up). Use it for cakes, cornbread, or almost anything that bakes. It works especially good in Bundt pans. I never had one come out completely whole until a friend gave this recipe to me. Just use pastry brush and store in ziplock bag and use over and over. Be sure to cover everything in the pan.. never a failure in the last 5 years.
Excellent tip!
Check out Elizabeth’s tip. Also, not all budnt pans are created equal. I have one that sticks and one that never sticks.
I need this recipe!
I need this recipe!
Can I use store bought pizza dough in a can if I don’t have the biscuits?
Or can I use 1 biscuits and 1 pizza dough?
You can do a mix!
It sounded so yummy but it turned out terrible! The whole thing refused to come out of the Bundt pan even though I greased it prior, and once I managed to scrap it out the flavor was bland. I hoped it would be a fun recipe to add to my collection but the whole ordeal leaves me not wanting to attempt it again.
Sorry! It sounds like your pan isn’t very nonstick. You can also bake in a 9×13 and up the seasonings.
Made it for my bridge club at our social hour what a hit! Everyone wants to make it now. Followed recipe exactly wouldn’t change a thing. I did make it in 9×13 and ahead of event, just heated in oven for 15 mins. perfect!
Allie that likes to cook everything!
Awesome!
Made this tonight! It was SO good!!! I used mini pepperoni because that’s what I had. Kids and adults alike raved about it. And it was so simple to make Thank! Thank you so much for the recipe! I will be making this again…and again! 🙂
You’re welcome!
Would rather use frozen bread dough instead of biscuits. Also would make in in 9×13 “ pan.
What if I used pizza dough instead of biscuits?
Wondering the same thing! Would pilsbury pizza dough work the same or need to be biscuit?
You can use either but biscuit dough puffs up more
It will just have different texture
I’ve done this with Italian seasoning before but I personally think the rosemary is too overpowering. Would this still come out well with just parsley and oregano??
Sure!
Can you use other ingredients? Mushrooms? Whole garlic?
Yep! Whatever floats your boat.
It looks so tasty! Could you put everything in the pan in the morning and then bake in the evening?
Definitely!
I have a silicone bundt baking “pan”, do you think it will work?
I think that would work great.
