Monster Cookie Dough Dip
Monster Cookie Dough Dip recipe is loaded with peanut butter, oats, M&Ms, and chocolate chips. This is one of my favorite dessert recipes ever! This is always a potluck favorite!
MONSTER COOKIE DOUGH DIP
Wow. Honestly…that’s all I can say.
They say a person’s true character is revealed by what he does when no one is watching…
I guess I’m a self-indulgent, ravenous Monster.
A Monster Cookie Dough Dip eating fool…
I made this dip around lunch time and could not stop eating it. I ate so much I just decided to call it lunch. Hey…peanut butter has protein in it.
I managed to save a little but for my husband to try after he came home from golfing.
My husband, the personification of self-control said, “Why can’t I stop eating this?!!”
You can customize it to be thinner like an actual dip or thicker like cookie dough which is how I like it. Serve it will graham crackers, apples, pretzels, or just a spoon (again…how I like it).
CAN YOU EAT RAW FLOUR?
I have never gotten sick from eating raw flour but if you want to heat treat it to be safe you can.
HOW TO HEAT TREAT FLOUR
There are two ways to do this:
- Place the flour in a microwave safe bowl and heat in 30 second intervals stirring in between. Make sure there are no hot spots that will burn. Do this until flour reaches 165 degrees F.
- Spread flour into an even layer on a baking sheet and bake at 300 degrees F in two minute intervals stirring in between until flour reaches 165 deggred F.

Monster Cookie Dough Dip
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup butter, slightly softened
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 Tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 ½ cups rolled oats, old fashioned or quick (see Note)
- 2/3 cup plain M&Ms, (give or take)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- With a hand mixer or stand mixer, beat the cream cheese, butter, and peanut butter until smooth.
- Add in the powdered sugar, brown sugar, flour, and vanilla.
- Using the paddle attachment on your stand mixer or just a wooden spoon, mix in the oats. You may want to use more or less here. I really like the oats in it and a thicker dip so I added a lot. Remember that the dip will also firm up a bit in the fridge.
- Add the M&Ms and chocolate chips.
- Store in the refrigerator until serving. Serve with pretzels, graham crackers, or apple slices. You can dip or spread this depending on how thick you made your dip. Try not to eat it all like I did!
- Note: You can use more or less oats to adjust the thickness of your dip. Start with about 1 1/2 cups oats and keep adding until you reach your desired thickness. If you use quick oats you might use less since it's finer and will make the dough thicker.
What could you use in place of the raw flour? I may be mistaken, but thought raw flour was not okay to ingest?
You can heat treat it in the microwave for 20 seconds if you are worried.
What could you use in replacement of the peanut butter?
Almond or cashew butter. Although peanut butter is what makes it “Monster”.
Is it one 8 ounce package of cream cheese? Or 18 ounces of cream cheese?
It’s 8 ounces of cream cheese.
I tried this recipe, but it just was not for me or my family. I was hopeful because of the reviews, but the texture was not the best, and the flavor was just…. off.
Sorry Jan! We love it and a lot of other people do too!
How many carbs in a serving (how big is a serving) of the Monster Cookie Dough dip?
Oui. I have no idea. Maybe we don’t want to know?
I personally dont want to know (just eat and enjoy ;-). But my daughter was just diagnosed with type one diabetes and she loves this recipe. She can eat it, I just need to know how much insulin to give her to counter act the carbs. Thanks anyways!!!
Very valid point. Thank you for correcting me on that.
Thank you! Yes, every brand has different calories and macros so it’s best to calculate your own.
You should really bake the flour first. Raw flour is not totally safe to consume. It can harbor salmonella and harmful strains of E. Coli.
I haven’t gotten sick from 38 years of eating raw cookie dough but if you’re a sick person in general I wouldn’t recommend it.
I am going to blend up some extra oats and use that as a replacement myself!
Is this recipe freezer friendly? If so, what are your recommendations for thawing?
This is absolutely delicious!!!
Yes! I would thaw in the fridge – may take about a day.
Has anyone tried to freeze this?? How long would it stay in the fridge??
You can definitely freeze this up to three months!
Very good post! We are linking to this particularly great article on our
site. Keep up the good writing.
After looking over this wonderful blog I just could not leave without saying thanks from your base
of my heart!
I wanted to take the time expressing my appreciation towards you
and also this blog that was amazing! Caring it!
This blog was… how do you say it? Relevant!! Finally I’ve found something that helped me.
I’m not a big fan of peanut buttery stuff, so I wasn’t a huge fan, but it was still good. Although I wasn’t a big fan, the rest of my siblings absolutely loved it. We added dark chocolate m&m’s instead of the regular ones.
Wow! This website definitely clicks with me and that
I may say nothing significantly less than I enjoy it!
I recently couldn’t keep without saying thank you in the bottom of
my heart after looking over this wonderful website!
Wow I had never heard of someone using cookie dough as a dip and you are actually the second site I’ve seen today suggesting it.
I think it’s an awesome way to use more cookie dough … which is never a bad thing.
Trust me, you’ll never look back after trying it.
I needed to take some time expressing my gratitude towards this website that was brilliant and you!
That looks so good…
try putting coconut instead of oats 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I would love that version.
Excellent blog! Do you have any recommendations for aspliring writers?
I’m planning to start my own site soon but I’m a little los on everything.
Would you recommend starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so mmany options outt there that
I’m totally overwhelmed .. Any ideas? Thanks!
Definitely WordPress. It’s so easy!
I have family with PB issues. Can this be made without the PB and would I have to change any of the measurements?
Ooh. That’s a tough one. Peanut butter is one of the main flavors in peanut butter cookie dough and without it, it tastes entirely different. On a side note, if you want a good dip that doesn’t quite taste like a monster cookie but still good, I think you substitute almond butter or Cookie butter!
Any idea how long this could safely be stored in fridge ? Love the recipe, thanks.
I’m definitely not the expert on storing but you could definitely store this at least a week or way longer.
I just ran across your post for monster cookies (which was amazing by the way!) and it led me to this gem. I know that I will not be able to make this recipe for monster cookie dip because I will eat it all. I will just have to stare and drool at this beautiful picture. And eat those monster cookies I just made! (:
Haha. It’s dangerous. I agree!
Sorry but I’m not english, Do I have to cook oats?
no. Use raw oats!
This was good, except I followed the recipe exactly and the cream cheese taste was overwhelming. I could hardly taste the peanut butter.
Thank you for some other informative web site. The place else may I am
getting that type of information written in such an ideal
manner? I’ve a project that I am simply now operating on, and
I’ve been at the look out for such information.
I know this is an OLD post, but I make this recipe ALL THE TIME, including this last New Years Eve. I’m sharing this on my blog (website listed below), and will be linking my (limited) viewers to your page! Thanks for a great recipe! 🙂
Of course! Share away. I’m glad you love it like I do!
I would need a spoon for this it looks so yummy lol! Thanks for sharing this with us; Jesus Christ Bless! 😉
Yes. It’s pretty yummy!
Is there something I can put in place of the peanut butter my son is allergic.
Cookie butter or almond butter? The peanut butter is one of the key flavors of Monster Cookie Dough Dip though.
I have made this numerous times and it is ALWAYS a hit! I now grind the oats in a blender first before adding them for a smoother cookie dough texture. I grind 2 cups and put all in recipe.
Great idea Kim!
Can’t wait to make.
If I were to try to make this with pb2, how much do you think I would use? Enough to make 1 cup, or just enough to give it some peanut butter flavor?
Eek! I don’t know. I’m not very familiar with the stuff!
Monster edible cookie dough is awesome. I recommend it.
AWESOME!!! I made this for a friend’s birthday party last Saturday and it was fun to watch everyone’s eyes get real big with that first bite! Everyone loved it and I ate too much. I will be making this for a family Easter gathering! Let the fun begin! Thanks for a delicious recipe!
You’re welcome! It’s one of my favorites too.
Hey Christy! I just wanted to let you know that for a YW cooking activity, I had the girls make their own Monster Cookie Dough Dip and it was so amazingly delicious!! We had such a fun time making this recipe but eating it (especially with sliced apples) was absolutely the best part of the night! Love it!
I love that you all made that. I miss yoU!
I was just wondering if you heat this with anything or just by itself?
I like it with apples or graham crackers but who are we kidding? By itself will do just fine.
i was excited to make this, but a bit disappointed that it doesn’t really taste like cookie dough. It’s very peanut buttery and that overwhelms the taste. Any suggestions to make it taste more like cookie dough and less like a peanut butter dip? I’m not sure if just leaving out the peanut butter would work.
You could use less peanut butter and more flour or oats to give it more of a cookie dough texture instead of a creamier dip.
A co-worker made this and substituted the peanutbutter with sunbutter for those with peanut allergies. Everyone loved it! She served it with mini vanilla wafers. Thank you for this great recipe!
I’m sorry, she actually used nutella, not sunbutter.
I know this is one of your older recipes, but I love it! We are having a “Spooky Dessert Potluck” at work this week, and I am bringing this to share with everyone. I’m sure everyone is going to love it as much as I do.
You’ll love it.
THE BEST cookie dough dip recipe I’ve ever had. Not lying when I say I could definitely eat the entire recipe! Really good with vanilla wafers, or eaten just by itself.
Thank you! I agree.
I just wanted to share what I do with this recipe. I make it just the way it is, but then press it into a 9″ round baking pan and stick it in the fridge. It’s my top layer to my brownie cheesecake cookie dough cake. It works perfect and is amazing!
Ooh! That sounds devine!
Just made this last night! Turned out great, however all I can taste is peanut butter…any recommendations on how to make it taste more like actual cookie dough and less like you’re eating plain peanut butter! Still was very good!! 🙂
Weird. I didn’t notice the peanut butter taste that much. You can definitely add less.
I like the grainy texture that the brown sugar gives chocolate chip cookie dough, so when I make it, I am going to decrease peanut butter a bit and increase brown sugar a bit.
