Yogurt-Dipped Cheerios Strawberries
These Yogurt-Dipped Cheerios Strawberries are a healthy snack to keep the kids happy and fed during the summer. These are also a great twist on breakfast!
Yogurt-Dipped Cheerios Strawberries
There are just a couple more days until school is out for summer. While most moms dread when school is out, I’m actually excited because it means later mornings, pool time, and no schedules.
The only down side is that I feel like we go through so much more food during the summer. The fridge seems to constantly be open and followed by, “What can I eat? I’m starving.”
We’ve tried to make it easier to eat healthy by having a list of healthy snack options plastered right on the door of the fridge. The kids helped me come up with the list so that it would be snacks they actually would eat.
When I was brainstorming some fun and tasty snacks to have on hand, these Yogurt-Dipped Cheerios Strawberries came to mind. They’re made from three things on our fridge “healthy snack” list: strawberries, yogurt, and General Mills Cereal.
Don’t these look like white chocolate dipped strawberries? I actually mixed some Greek yogurt with a little bit of honey and then dipped the strawberries in them. You want to dip them a couple of times to get a nice thick layer of yogurt on the strawberry.
Then gently roll the strawberry in Honey Nut Cheerios. It helps to lightly press them in. I chose Honey Nut Cheerios because they are made with whole grain and have real honey in them which complements our yogurt/honey mixture.
There you have a snack or even a light breakfast! I’ve even tried freezing these for a super cold and refreshing treat. You have to try these beauties.
