An Apple for A Teacher
Simple and cute projects are my favorite and this “An Apple for A Teacher” back to school gift idea fits the bill.
I know kids have gone back to school already in many states but here in New York we still have a few more weeks left of summer. Right now I’m scrambling to get everything done that needs to get done before we leave for vacation in 2 weeks and putting together a simple back to school gift was on my to-do list.
Now I’m not a teacher but I’ve heard talk and read articles regarding gift ideas for teachers. Considering how many students they have I can imagine that getting a ton of useless (albeit thoughtful) gifts could be overwhelming. So, why not give them something they can eat and enjoy, right? And since everyone seems to be on a health food kick lately, an apple is perfect.
We eat apples a lot in my family. Today I tried it with some caramel dipping sauce and oh.my.word. I thought I died and went to heaven! Why have I never tried this before???? It was so delicious! So, for this back to school teacher’s gift we are going to give some caramel dipping sauce with the apple. What I love about this is that you can give the gift to your child’s teacher and they don’t have to worry about refrigerating it. The individual caramel dipping sauce is perfect. It only needs to be refrigerated once it’s opened. I picked mine up at Target in the produce section.
You’ll want to pick up some clear cello bags and cute ribbon for this project. You can grab the download link for the cute tags below. If you have a 2″ circle punch or scalloped paper punch that’s great for this project. If not, just cut the tags out with scissors. Printing them out on card stock works best.
