Monster Party Mix

Monster Party Mix is a delicious combination of salty and sweet and is enjoyed by children and adults alike. It makes the perfect Halloween party treat that will be gobbled up faster than you can say “trick or treat”.

I haven’t met a child who did not get excited about a tasty holiday treat. Sure most kids love sweets and treat of all kinds but there’s something to be said about a dessert or recipe that only makes an appearance at certain times of year. We always have popcorn in our house but it’s rarely the snack of choice. Add some chocolate, Sixlets and candy corn to it and suddenly it’s all anyone wants to munch on. Can’t say I blame them though. It is yummy.

Why not take this a step further and pair this monster mix with some Halloween gift bags from the Target Dollar Spot and these  Happy Halloween Labels. It will make the perfect take-home treat at the end of your Halloween festivities.

Monster Party Mix

To make this Monster Party Mix you’ll need the following items:

-Popcorn (microwave or store bought)

-Sixlets in green, orange and black (I picked mine up at Party City)

-Melting Chocolates in Black and Green

-Disposable Pastry Bags

-Candy Corn

-Confetti Sprinkles (optional)

Step One: Pop popcorn and spread out in a single layer on lined cookie sheet.

Step Two: Melt black melting chocolates according to package instructions. Once melted, spoon into pastry bag and drizzle chocolate all over popcorn.

Step Three: While the chocolate is still melted sprinkle Sixlets, candy corn and anything else you want to add to the mix.

Step Four: Repeat step  with green melting chocolates and allow to chocolate to set.

Step Five: Break apart the monster mix and serve. At this point if you are using the monster snack mix to share, just fill the goody bags with the popcorn mix and be sure to add the “Happy Halloween” label to tie it all together.
