Tastes like strawberry shortcake! the-girl-who-ate-everything.comI have the best intentions on Father’s Day and it never pans out. I told you in my last post about ordering family pictures too big for my wall. What I didn’t mention is that I failed on another gift – a tackle box. My husband hinted that he needed a new fishing tackle box and so we Amazon-Primed one. It arrived and was enormous. It is literally the size of a piano bench – I can barely lift it. It will definitely fit his 10 lures along with room for about 458769 more. A couple of years ago I attempted to make my husband’s favorite dessert, strawberry shortcake, for Father’s Day. It was a disaster. The biscuit tasted like drywall. So were you hoping this recipe was my perfected strawberry shortcake? I wish it was. Unfortunately I’ve completely given up on that one. These Strawberry Cheesecake Biscuit Waffles are delicious. You would think after making over 150 waffles last week for a church event I would be waffled out. These are more dessert-like than waffle-like. They are their own unique entity. Layers of lemon cream cheese and strawberries inside of warm waffles. And so easy!
