Peanut Butter and Jelly Smoothie
If your kids love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches they will love this PB&J Smoothie. This is a healthy smoothie great for a snack or special treat!
My friend Deborah, from Taste and Tell, just released a cookbook filled with the Best 100 Smoothies for Kids. If you follow me on Instagram you probably know that Deborah and I ate our way through San Diego last week. Trust me when I say that she loves food as much as I do. I had my kids look through the cookbook to pick out smoothies they wanted to try. Every single one we’ve made was delicious and healthy. Of course my kids immediately were drawn to this one. What kid doesn’t love peanut butter and jelly? And you know how around 3:30 the kids start whining about wanting a snack? A healthy smoothie is the perfect solution! All the recipes are free of added sugars and filled with fruits and veggies.

Notes
I’m so glad you are enjoying the cookbook!! Your smoothie looks perfect and makes me want to make one right now!!
Simple anf healthy recipe!
I’m very curious—do you know why Deborah calls for UNDERRIPE bananas?
Haha. I was thinking the same thing. I think it’s because they have less sugar. Obviously a riper banana will yield a sweeter smoothie. I don’t mind it because it’s natural sugar.
Hi Avra! The underripe banana will give you the creaminess from the banana without the overwhelming banana taste. It’s a great trick for when you want the creamy texture without having a banana flavored smoothie. 🙂
Christy, this smoothie looks amazing! I’m a grown woman, and I will NEVER tire of PB&J! Not only will I be making this for my girls, I’m making myself one also! ; )
My kids would love this!!! What a great cookbook!
This looks SO good. I knew Deborah would have the absolute best smoothie ideas in her book! I’m ordering a copy now, love it! I miss being so full that you have the chills 🙂
Ugh! I don’t. That was the worst!
Yummy!! This looks oh so good!!
