Cranberry Walnut Truffles

It’s funny how our tastebuds change because when I was little you couldn’t pay me to eat anything with nuts. For some reason I thought only old people liked nuts…and mushrooms. Well you definitely need to be a nut lover to enjoy these Cranberry Nut Truffles. They are full of walnuts, salty pretzels, and chopped cranberries. And apparently I’m old not because I loved them. Put them in a cute mini paper wrapper and on your Christmas trays.

Cranberry Walnut Truffles

Ingredients

  • 1 2/3 cups finely crushed pretzels
  • 2/3 cup dried cranberries, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups finely chopped walnuts
  • 1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brandยฎ Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine crushed pretzels, cranberries and walnuts in large mixing bowl. Stir sweetened condensed milk, butter and vanilla in medium bowl until blended and pour over pretzel mixture. Stir until mixture is combined. Allow mixture to set 10 minutes. This allows the mixture to become more workable to roll into balls.
  2. Roll dough into Tablespoon sized balls and place on a cookie sheet. Chill one hour and then roll in powdered sugar. Serve in small paper or foil candy cups.
